My Story
For the past 5 years, I have been a staff machine learning engineer and data scientist at Twitter and Apple. I recently joined Expedia as a Sr. Manager in Data Science. I am working closely with leadership to build out a strong ML team to help improve customer experience at Expedia. I am also a mentor in several programs at Expedia.
I earned my Ph.D. in Psychology and Applied Statistical Modeling at The University of Texas at Austin in May 2018. I graduated from UC San Diego in 2011 with a B.S. in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Neuroscience and a minor in Philosophy. I also earned my Masters degree in 2015 from UT in Cognitive Neuroscience.
Outside of data science, I enjoy trail running, traveling, hiking, photography, and playing with my dogs (Moose and Fiona) in our yard and around Washington.

Formerly, my research interests focused on learning about the developmental trajectory and stability of executive function, scientific understanding, and academic achievement in children.
